On Wednesday, April 28th, Aaron Silverstein will lead a panel discussion at the Boston Bar Association titled "Fame, Laundry Lists, and Bona Fide Intent: Foreign Applicants and the Trademark Trial and Appeals Board." The discussion will center on the TTAB's recent decision in Fiat Group Automobiles S.p.A. v. ISM, Inc., which held that the fame of a foreign mark in the U.S., when coupled with an intent-to-use application, can be sufficient to support of a claim of dilution. Other discussion topics will include the latest on lack of bona fide intent, and tips for counseling foreign clients and associates. For more information, and to register for the event, visit the BBA.
